Urban Run Project Running Free by the Sea in Dublin
Urban Run Project emerged in Dublin in June 2018 when Ciara, Ellen, and Ben noticed Ireland had no real running crew culture, so they built one. What started as a mission to bring runners together has grown into a thriving community of around 40 athletes of all levels. Every Thursday at 7pm, they gather at Sean Moore Park in Sandymount for a 5km coastal route, followed by snacks, water, and sometimes a sea swim. The crew operates on a simple philosophy: free, welcoming, and entirely peer-led. Urban Run Project believes every runner has something to teach and something to learn, regardless of pace or experience. The vibe is warm, conversational, and genuinely encouraging, making it a perfect place for first-timers and regulars alike.
