RUNDISTRIKT Bringing North Vancouver Together One Wednesday at a Time
Mel moved to North Vancouver seeking connection and found none in Lower Lonsdale. Rather than wait for someone else to start a run club, she helped launch RUNDISTRIKT out of a local barbershop in October 2017. Seven years later, the crew has grown into twenty tight-knit runners who gather every Wednesday at 6:30 from Rexford The Barbershop, their permanent home base. RUNDISTRIKT operates on one core belief: No Run Left Behind. They run as a group, finish as a group, and measure success not by pace but by the community they build together. Wednesday nights have become Lower Lonsdale's weekly ritual for getting outside, with monthly runs to Beere Brewing adding another dimension to the neighbourhood bond. North Vancouver's most neighbourhood-rooted crew stays grounded in the belief that running is only as good as the people running beside you.
