The Captains

S

Sandon

Captain

Sandon is one of MRC’s legacy leaders — and easily one of the most effortlessly cool guys in the crew. A therapist by trade, he brings grounding, positivity, and a steady calm that everyone feels the moment he shows up. As one of our Spicy 6 leaders, he knows how to bring the heat, but he’s also the first to jump in wherever he’s needed. Reliable, thoughtful, and smart, Sandon leads with ease. He’s always on time, always smiling, and always ready to support the community in whatever way the moment calls for. And beyond being an incredible leader, he’s an exceptional dad — something that shines through in his patience, warmth, and quiet strength. MRC is lucky to have him. Sandon’s presence has become part of the fabric of our Mondays: calm energy, good vibes, and the kind of consistency you can count on week after week.

P

Patricio

Coach

Patricio is a transplant from Mexico City and one of the brightest lights in the MRC community. As the leader of our 8KM pace group, he’s always ready to lead the charge — steady, confident, and the definition of dependable. He’s the first to show up and the last to leave, jumping in for setup, teardown, and all the heavy lifting without ever being asked. Warm, kind, and deeply compassionate, Patricio brings a grounded energy that instantly makes people feel welcome. At the same time, he’s stylish, cool, and effortlessly creative. Forward-thinking and full of vision, Patricio is not just a pace leader; he’s a culture carrier. His presence has helped build the atmosphere and community spirit MRC is known for today.

V

Veronica Skye

Founder, Captain, Teamlead

Veronica Skye is the founder of Mondays Run Club — one of the most inspiring and fast-rising leaders in Canada’s running and wellness scene. With a professional a background in PR and marketing, she’s a natural leader and true connector known for creating spaces where people feel welcomed, included, and encouraged to level up. A late-blooming runner, Veronica started on Vancouver’s seawall in 2020 and has since built MRC into one of the city’s most influential run communities, partnering with global brands and shaping a new wave of warm, inclusive, stylish run culture. As an athlete, she’s just as compelling. Her first ultramarathon — a 50km race through the TransSelkirks — sparked a deep love for trail running. She’s now guiding her community toward their first ultras while taking on six races of her own in 2026. Through her storytelling, partnerships, and her Substack 'The Mondays Effect', Veronica blends community, culture, adventure and connection in a way people gravitate toward. Confident, warm, and endlessly ambitious, she isn’t just leading a run club — she’s building one of Canada’s most exciting movement communities.

J

Jana

Coach

Jana may be small but she is so mighty — the kind of leader you'll hear (and feel) from a mile away. With a smile that never quits and energy that radiates through the entire crew, she has this effortless, contagious presence that makes every Monday feel brighter. She’s always the first to say hello, to welcome a new runner, and the first to connect people who might not have met otherwise. Jana carries a crowd with ease — powerful, warm, and impossible not to adore. A strong, steady runner and a deeply reliable leader, she’s someone people look forward to seeing week after week. If you want encouragement, or a good pun, and a leader who will make you feel right at home, Jana is that girl.

B

Bryony

Coach

Bryony is the calm to the MRC chaos — a warm, grounded, lighthearted soul who brings ease and softness to every single person she meets. There’s a peacefulness to her energy that you feel immediately; being around her just makes the world feel a little lighter. As the leader of our Walking Group, Bryony approaches every role with intention. She pours love and soul into her community, shows up with kindness at the forefront, and holds space in a way that makes people feel genuinely seen. Her advice always lands like a hug — comforting, gentle, and exactly what you needed in that moment. Spiritual, intuitive, and beautiful inside and out, Bryony is not just an exceptional leader… she’s an exceptional guide. Her presence reminds people to slow down, breathe, and reconnect — with themselves and with each other.

K

Kendall

Coach

Kendall is small but mighty with a get-sht-done* attitude that everyone in the crew relies on. She’s the first to delegate, the first to organize a crowd, and the one who can command a room without even trying. During events, she’s the glue — keeping everyone in line, on track, and moving with purpose. As one of the leaders of the Spicy 6 pace group, the name truly fits her. She’s quick, sharp, and brings just the right amount of heat — but always with a giggle. Kendall has that rare combo of being hilarious and lighthearted while also knowing exactly when it’s time to get serious and get things done. An accountant by trade, she’s detail-oriented, reliable, and a strong, steady pace leader. More importantly, she’s a genuinely great friend — the kind of person who makes every runner feel supported, encouraged, and totally seen.

Z

Zoe

Coach

Zoe has been leading with MRC for almost three years and is the heart and original pioneer of the Chill 6 pace group. Known for her welcoming energy, bubbly attitude, and effortless “Barbie girl” vibes, she’s the kind of leader who makes every runner — whether it’s their first Monday or their fiftieth — feel instantly comfortable. Steady, reliable, and always on time (early, actually), Zoe sets a smooth, consistent pace and brings the kind of encouragement that stays with you long after the run is over. She’s approachable, positive, and genuinely invested in helping people find their confidence on the road. If you’re looking for a pace leader who will hype you up, keep you steady, and make you laugh along the way, Zoe is your girl.

Who We Are

Mondays Run Club started in April 2021 with an invitation to connection, not competition. A 5K along the Vancouver seawall and a beer after, no timers, no pressure, just people craving belonging. Founded on the belief that movement, belonging, and the courage to show up matter most, especially when life feels heavy, Mondays Run Club has grown to more than 100 runners gathering every Monday. From first-timers to trail runners, they are held together by warmth, consistency, and leaders who genuinely care. Every Monday at 5:30 PM, seven pace groups set off from somewhere new in Vancouver. The route changes, but the welcome never does.
