District Running Collective Running the Streets of Washington DC Together
District Running Collective was born at midnight on January 1, 2013, when a hundred runners flooded the H Street Corridor and changed how Washington, DC thought about running. Founded by runners who saw their city as both course and community, the crew built something radical, where fitness, fun, and belonging collide. Now, from self-described non-runners to half marathon finishers, District Running Collective welcomes everyone, reflecting the full diversity and energy of the capital. Their philosophy is simple, running is a lifestyle, not a chore. Weekly runs use DC's streets as the stage, its bridges and hills as the challenge, giving runners a chance to push past limits alongside a crew that shows up for each other.
