Broward Running Society Finding Community One Stride at a Time in Plantation
Broward Running Society started at a family gathering in March 2023 when five friends in Plantation, Florida decided Broward County needed its own running crew. What began that afternoon has grown into a tight-knit community of around 125 runners who share a simple belief, that running has the power to change how people see themselves. The crew runs on mutual support and acceptance, welcoming everyone from first-timers to seasoned athletes. You'll find them Tuesday evenings on Pine Island Road for 5Ks and Sunday mornings across four rotating long-run routes, where every pace is celebrated, including the self-declared "sexy pace" crew.
