ACT WOMEN'S RUNning Rewriting What Running Means for Women in Tokyo
ACT WOMEN'S RUNning was born in Tokyo in 2017 when founder Emi decided running should feel good, not grueling. This crew of around 20 women dismantles the myth that running is tough and monotonous, instead building a space where movement, conversation, and joy intersect. Twice a month near Shibuya, they explore new neighbourhoods with a warm, curious, and refreshingly low-pressure vibe. Their signature runs start and end at Bunka Yokusen, a public bath in Ikejiri, where the real conversations begin in one of Tokyo's most beloved neighbourhood traditions. Here, running is about discovering health on your own terms.
