Underground Run Club Chasing the Dark in Sydney's Sutherland Shire
Underground Run Club started in November 2019 when Mitch and Dan began running Cronulla's streets before sunrise. What began as a twice-weekly ritual has grown into one of Sydney's most committed run crews. Built on consistency, honesty, and the belief that the best running happens before dawn, Underground Run Club operates on a simple philosophy: show up before the sun does. With around ten members running four times a week, the crew is small enough that your absence is noticed and tight enough that your effort is never wasted. Everyone knows each other by first name. Based at the Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club, they run Tuesday and Thursday at 4:30 am, Saturday at 5:00, and Sunday at 6:00, with the Shire's coast and national park as their playground.
