Craiova Running Club Finding Community One Park Encounter at a Time
Craiova Running Club began by accident. Two strangers kept intersecting on solo runs through Românescu Park, and when one finally spoke up, a third joined almost immediately. By March 2014, they had a name and a purpose. Today, around 30 runners of all ages gather every Sunday morning, bound together by free classes, shared miles, and the understanding that showing up is philosophy enough. There are no captains here, no rigid structures, just consistent people who believe the real work happens on the roads and in the post-run gossip sessions that follow. Radu charts the longer routes through the hilly Oltenian countryside, but the real glue is simpler: runners making space for each other, week after week.
