Concrete Runners Bridging Urban Street Culture and Running in San Francisco
Concrete Runners launched in San Francisco in April 2014 with a simple mission: make running free, accessible, and part of everyday Bay Area life. A decade later, they're still showing up every Thursday at 6:30 PM across the city's streets. Founded on the belief that running is a lifestyle, not a race, Concrete Runners has grown to around 300 runners of all levels who embrace community, consistency, and the idea that the streets belong to everyone who laces up. The vibe is welcoming, urban, and grounded in real Bay Area culture, where the only entry fee is showing up.
