Cães D Avenida Running Together Along the Atlantic in Porto
Cães D' Avenida emerged in 2011 when a group of friends began training together on Porto's Avenida do Brasil, a seafront stretch facing the Atlantic. What started as informal sessions grew into a formal sports association by 2013, drawing around 180 founding members who shared a simple philosophy: run as amateurs, race with intent. Now a fixture in Porto's running culture, the crew brings together members aged 30 to 60, united by friendship, mutual support, and genuine love for their avenue and city. Every second Saturday at 9:30 am, they gather at the Lawn Tennis Club da Foz for the Mensalão, a 10K run along the coast split into pace groups for all levels.
