BiakBecicak The Boys Who Love Running in Ketapang Borneo
BiakBecicak started in November 2017 when founder Dirga and four friends began running the streets of Ketapang, Borneo, training together for police officer entrance exams. The name captures their philosophy perfectly: "biak" means boys, "becicak" means running. Boys who love running, that's it. No frills, no pretense. What began as five friends sharing effort has grown to around 100 runners drawn in one by one by the straightforward appeal of moving together through familiar streets. Every Tuesday at 19:30, they gather at Citimall Ketapang and take off into the city, a reliable mid-week ritual that has anchored the community for years and continues to welcome anyone willing to show up and run.
