Bergamo Running Conquering Ancient Walls One Run at a Time
Bergamo Running began in June 2015 when founder Vittorio, inspired by a running crew in Copenhagen, sparked the idea on the Venetian Walls and brought it home to this ancient Lombard city. Now around 20 members strong, the crew operates on a simple philosophy: Run Pizza Repeat. For Bergamo Running, the kilometres matter, but the post-run ritual, the conversations, the shared meal matters just as much. Every Monday at 19:30, they gather at Trucca Park and run through Bergamo's historic streets and up along the UNESCO-listed Venetian Walls, where views stretch across the Lombardy plain. The vibe is warm and grounded, a tight-knit group that knows each other by name and pace, welcoming anyone willing to show up and move.
