Bambas Sports Club was born in Amsterdam in December 2022 when three friends decided sport should feel like play again. The name itself captures the spirit: bambas, Spanish slang for trainers, signals that this is about joy, not performance. Around 70 runners gather weekly, from fast to relaxed, drawn together by something simpler than speed. Here, running is a way to belong, to move through the city with others, and to feel genuinely alive. Every Wednesday at 7pm and Saturday morning at 10:30am, the crew meets at Vondelpark, threading through Amsterdam's parks and canals. Routes reshape familiar streets into moments of discovery. Low-pressure, warm, and built on easy camaraderie, Bambas Sports Club proves that the best runs happen when you stop chasing times and start chasing connection.
