Run Squad CGN A Close-Knit Crew Forging Friendships Through Running in Cologne
Run Squad CGN was founded in Cologne in March 2015 by Jasmina alongside friends Florian, Ines, Robin, Christopher, and Maggie. Inspired by Jasmina’s own running experiences with the Berlin-based Run Pack during 2013 and 2014, she returned to her hometown longing for a similar community. When her proposal to create a local chapter of Run Pack was declined, Jasmina and her friends took matters into their own hands, establishing a crew that has since become a pillar of Cologne’s running scene.
Building Community Around Shared Passion
From the beginning, Run Squad CGN’s philosophy centered on more than just speed or distance. The crew values camaraderie, mutual support, and the joy found in running together. Early efforts included naming the crew, designing a logo, and choosing meeting points, all while fostering a welcoming atmosphere for runners of various levels. Their motto could be understood as training hard, playing hard, and taking pride in each member’s journey.
Where Every Mile Strengthens Bonds
Run Squad CGN is a medium-sized crew of roughly 70 runners who gather not as a club but as a close group of friends. The diversity of its members reflects the city’s vibrant spirit, united by a collective love for running and social connection. Members regularly spend time together beyond runs, creating a tight-knit network that supports each other’s personal and athletic goals.
Structured Runs Foster Progress And Unity

Welcoming Runners Of All Levels To Join
Run Squad CGN invites runners in Cologne to become part of their inclusive crew, regardless of experience. Interested individuals can connect through the crew’s social channels and join scheduled runs to get a feel for the group. This openness reflects the founders’ early determination to build a crew that welcomes everyone who shares their enthusiasm for running and community.
