We are a free, fun and non-pushy running club.
Rochester Road Runners started in the summer of 2014 as an alternative to the serious, strait-laced running clubs, and costly running store groups out there. The goal was to create a team that was free, fun and represented Rochester, the city we love. Where like-minded, friendly people could run together, train together, race together, support each other, motivate each other, and most of all—have fun together!
We are one part running club and one part social club. With all the camaraderie, loyalty, and spirit you’d expect from a running team, but with none of the expectations, fees, or pressure. Some of us are more serious about running and some of us are just here to find running partners and make new friends. Your involvement is completely up to you.
All paces and experience levels are welcome whether you’re a hardcore marathoner or a beginner looking for some help and others to learn from. Coaching and training plans are also available for a small fee.
We are not a store, nor affiliated with any store, and we have no office or overhead. Our group runs are held at different local establishments in the Rochester area.
We offer two social runs every week on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings (which includes a long run option), and one training workout on Thursday evenings.
Our team is run by volunteers, and membership is free.
