Running with Penang City Running Runners: An Awesome Experience
Running is more than just a sport; it’s a way of life. It’s about breaking down barriers, making new friends, and experiencing new things. That’s the core concept of Penang City Running Runners (PCRR), a social running crew founded on August 8th, 2018, in Penang City by Dion.
The Beginning of PCRR
The story of Penang City Running Runners started when Dion realized that there were no accessible social running crews in Penang for him to join. So, he invited a few close friends to run together every week. As time went by, running became a regular habit and started to positively impact his life. Dion quit smoking and drinking, and his overall health and well-being improved significantly.
Motivated by the passion and love shown by Kuala Lumpur running crews, Dion had an idea to create a social running crew that was open to anyone interested without registration and accessible to the public. The objective of PCRR was to connect members as one, motivate each other in all aspects of life, share the joy and grow together as a team.
Today, PCRR has around 30 members, and they are all committed to changing their lifestyles and accomplishing their personal goals through running together.
The Captains of Penang City Running Runners
