İstanbul Koşu Kuvvetleri (literally meaning ‘Run Force İstanbul’) is a tight group of spirited young adults who enjoy running and various other urban athletics. The crew was founded by Rüya, Kurt and Gözde who were looking for a social way to run and share their enthusiasm for the sport. IKK is one of the first running crews in Istanbul. It basically started way before running was cool in Turkey.
The group’s primary aim is to seize every opportunity to exercise within the context of the city and to promote athletics via fundraising activities primarily aimed at NGOs focused on children’s education and development.
We have been running through the diverse landscape of Istanbul since September 2012 and continue our journeys with weekly meets. We look forward to running with you too.
