Fraser Street Run Club is a Vancouver based community run club and was founded by Michelle, Jesse, Cody and Kat in November 2013. They started as a small group of friends who wanted to get people together for a run every month. Back in May of 2013, they came up with the idea of starting the “Frasercore” Club. Since the majority of them lived on, or just off of Fraser Street at the time, this name seemed to have made the most sense.
What started as somewhat of a comic-relief-of-an-idea and a few monthly social runs, has now turned into a social network for over 100+ runners in the community. Between our weekly Friday night runs, trail events and team races, Fraser Street Run Club proved itself to be something far greater than we ever expected.
Our mission is to engage people in running and build a supportive community for runners in and around Vancouver. We provide an open and inclusive environment for runners of all levels. We aim to promote running in natural environments as a way to inspire and enable an active, sustainable, social and healthy lifestyle. These include feel-good social runs, running at a slower pace for longer, running in new places, exploring urban trails, running trails in Squamish and on Vancouver’s North Shore and racing.
Some of our most fun memories have been on our Field Trips where we have travelled far and wide to go to different races. Our mission is to engage people in running and build a supportive community for runners in and around Vancouver.
