Uniting Runners and Unleashing Good Vibes: The Inspiring Journey of de Grâce Running Collective

In the bustling city of Montreal, where vibrant culture and an active lifestyle collide, a remarkable running crew has emerged, creating a tight-knit community. The de Grâce Running Collective, fondly known as dgcr, has quickly gained recognition for its inclusive spirit, fostering a sense of unity among its members.

The Birth of a Community

The de Grâce Running Collective found its roots in January 2023 when Jason, a dedicated runner and enthusiast, realized the need for a new crew in the West End of Montreal. With the departure of Run Rite Athletics Club, an emptiness loomed, demanding to be filled. Jason, having experienced the invigorating camaraderie of running with others during his time with Run Rite Athletics Crew, was determined to recreate that magic. Thus, de Grâce Running Collective was born—a crew and a community where all runners are welcomed and encouraged to lead.

Only Good Vibes with de Grâce Running Collective

The essence of the de Grâce Running Collective can be summed up in two words: good vibes. With an open-door policy and a mutual love for running, this crew radiates an atmosphere of acceptance and positivity. No matter your pace, experience level, or background, you’ll welcome yourself into this tight-knit community with open arms. At dgcr, it’s not just about the miles you cover but the smiles you share.

Monday Magic: A Night for Recovery and Connection

Monday nights hold a special place in the hearts of the dgcr crew. Determined to make the start of the week a little brighter, Jason suggested Monday as the perfect evening for a recovery-type running experience. At 7:15 pm, the crew gathers at Parc Paul-Doyon in NDG, ready to embark on their weekly 8 km run. The park, nestled in the heart of Montreal’s Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce suburb, sets the stage for an evening filled with laughter, chats, and the simple pleasure of lacing up your running shoes.
