Meet the Claremont Trotters

The Claremont Trotters were founded by four passionate runners: ChristinaEmilioNancy and John. Christina founded the Trotters, and with her passion for running, she brought the crew together. Emilio, the very first Trotter, is a talented marathon runner and the designer of the Trotters’ logo. Nancy, the second Trotter to join the club, is known as the motivator of the group. She inspired the Trotters to run their first marathon, the LA Marathon, in 2020. John, the English teacher, is the wordsmith behind the Trotters’ Instagram captions, and he proudly reps Long Beach all day, every day.

A Community to Run With

The Claremont Trotters’ vision is simple: to build a community to run with. Running can be an excellent outlet from the stresses of work and life, and the Trotters offer a welcoming environment for runners of all abilities. Whether you’re a seasoned marathoner or just starting, the Trotters welcome all paces and make sure no one gets left behind. They offer group runs on Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings, ranging from 3-5 miles. The group tackles longer runs on Saturdays, perfect for those training for a race.
