Bridge Runners Düsseldorf: A Fun and Inclusive Running Crew for All
Bridge Runners Düsseldorf is a relatively new running crew that was founded in 2019 by Hanniel, Holger, Nicola, and Azib. What started as a bunch of friends who found or reignited their love for running at a later age has now turned into a successful running crew with an inner core team that consists of Stefan, Holger, Hanniel, Eli, Nicola, and Azib. The crew’s primary objective is to provide a tool to introduce running crews and connect runners from all over the planet.

Bridge Runners Düsseldorf – From a Crazy Idea to a Real Concept
The idea of starting a running crew in Düsseldorf started when Nicola and Azib lived in Berlin for some time and got to know and appreciate the concept of running crews. When they moved to Düsseldorf, they were surprised that no real running crew existed. It was then that Iko, a founding member of Kraft Runners, suggested, “Why don’t you start your own running crew?” At first, it was just a crazy and exciting idea, but more a wish than a concrete concept.
But with time, the crew formed a WhatsApp group, gave the Bridge Runners thing a name, and invited some people they knew in the city. Only when they met the guys Holger and Hanniel and went on a long run, they felt the vibe for the first time, which they had missed so much. The crew was founded in June 2019, but their real birthday was in August 2019.
