Blacklist LA

Founded in 2013, BlacklistLA Run Organization aims to connect people through community, art and running. Together with a team of volunteers, BlacklistLA provides a safe, energetic environment that empowers people to discover the great city of Los Angeles in ways never done before. From weekly running events, a training program (Project 42/42) and a sanctioned race (HBD LA 5K), BlacklistLA is intent on making Los Angeles a better place. All donations and funding directly contribute to making that dream come true.

BlacklistLA’s weekly events are highlighted by a Monday night art run, where on average, over 300 runners gather at 10pm and run to street art displayed around the city’s streets. Each Wednesday evening, with Metro Run, BlacklistLA uses public transit to discover the city alternatively. Saturday mornings are home to BlacklistLA’s long runs, ranging from 8 miles and up, this was designed for runners to end the week off on a high note.

As the largest run organization of its kind, BlacklistLA has plans to forever change the landscape of running in Los Angeles. Whether through art, alternative transportation or training programs, the goal is to connect the community in new ways. From Downtown to Koreatown, Hollywood to Mid Wilshire, Culver City to Echo Park, there’s millions of stories out there and we are intent on bringing them all together. Are you in or nah?

Our mission is to engage the Los Angeles community in exciting athletic events that foster movement, local discovery, cultural awareness, and civic pride.
